Rebecca Simons has been the Director for Jewish Life since July of 2007.  Rebecca joined the staff of Jewish Life at Duke as the Assistant Director in 2005.  She graduated from Washington University in St Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Jewish & Near Eastern Studies and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. After working as the Coordinator for Rehab Day Treatment at a pediatric hospital, she continued her education by receiving her Master of Arts in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. Rebecca has a breadth of experience working with young adults in the Jewish community as the Program Director for Hillel at UCLA, as the Program Director for Camp Ramah in California, and as the Assistant Educational Director for Temple Beth Sholom in Roslyn, New York. Rebecca enjoys traveling around the globe with Duke students, spending time with her dog Henry, and sampling gourmet ice cream.
