Hello my name is Benny Maimon and I am the reform religious leader for the Duke University Rubenstein Silvers Hillel.  I am a sophomore from Westfield, New Jersey and in the Pratt School of Engineering. As Reform Religious Leader, I hope to improve several aspects of Jewish Life at Duke.  Firstly, I plan on establishing a rotation system of service leaders whereby it will be the job of one person to lead services about once a month.  Once this is implemented, I hope to increase support and enthusiasm for services by allowing new members to participate in this leadership role after attending several services.  Also, I hope to increase membership at Friday Night Services by increasing the awareness of reform religious life at Duke.  Lastly, I plan to have a weekly discussion after each service about several topics that are relevant to modern Judaism such as the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and reconciling ones Judaism with modern science.
