Young Alumni celebrate in NYC

On September 16, 2009 some 50 Duke young alumni came together at Dylan’s Candy Bar in NYC to celebrate the 10-year Anniversary of the Freeman Center for Jewish Life. Alumni ushered in a sweet new year in by enjoying an ice cream sundae bar and refreshments including the “Duke-tini”. The attendees were able to meet fellow NYC alumni and reconnect with old friends while honoring the establishment of the Freeman Center for Jewish Life, and it’s significant impact on the Duke campus.
A wonderful night was had by all and the celebration was topped off by a special appearance by Dr. Ruth Westheimer and her impromptu promise to all alumni who made a contribution to Jewish Life at Duke.
Jewish Life at Duke looks forward to many more gatherings with alumni, and many more successful years of Jewish Life at Duke. L’Dor Vador.
President Broadhead was not able to attend the event, but sent a letter in his stead. To read the letter from President Brodhead, please click here
