J.A.W.

Jewish Awareness Week (J.A.W.)

Jewish Awareness Week is an annual week of events designed to promote awareness of and involvement with the Jewish community on campus and around the world. This year's JAW focuses on the diversity within the Jewish community.

J.A.W. takes place every spring and incorporates activities and programs such as panel discussions on politics affecting the Jewish community, movies with Jewish cultural content, a seder focused on issues of freedom and oppression of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and a day-long celebration of Israel and Israeli culture. The events are planned by a dedicated committee of students with the guidance of a member of the Hillel staff.

If you have questions about Jewish Awareness Week or would like to be involved by being on the planning committee or by volunteering for specific events, please contact Blair Hedges, Student Leadership Coordinator.
